This went on for a while, and then one day, something strange happened. He was sitting in his room and felt the Holy Spirit lead him to pick up the guitar. He tried to write but felt so discouraged because nothing was really working. Then, he felt it again, urging him to look at his cork-board with a letter from 2015.  He grabbed the letter and started playing again, using it as a guide for the lyrics.  The song started off with “Dear God, I want to thank you for everything I have”.  After a few minutes, everything just began to flow.  This was the first time he had made music in years and was a huge turning point in his life.

“'Dear God' was a big part of my healing process, along with other songs that I wrote during that time. I cannot describe the joy that fills my heart now when I play. My songs truly come from Him.

I am excited to see where God will lead me next. I have learned through this, that if God asks you to do something, trust Him and do it. Even if you're scared. He knows the plans that He has for us and He will be with us wherever we go."
